Outdoor Hybrid Telecom Power Solution

Solution Overview

CONSNANT Outdoor Hybrid Telecom Integrated Power Solution builds a multi-energy complementary integrated power supply system for scenarios without grid power or unstable mains, such as 4G/5G base stations, remote telecom sites, outdoor surveillance and transportation communication. The solution integrates rectifier modules, solar MPPT charge controller modules, inverter modules and intelligent monitoring modules into an IP55-rated outdoor cabinet subrack. With a building-block modular architecture, power units, energy storage units and thermal control components can be flexibly added or removed to cover the full power range from small edge nodes to large macro base stations. The system enables fully automatic intelligent power logic: solar priority, mains supplement, battery backup and genset linkage, effectively reducing site energy consumption and long-term OPEX.

 

Core System Architecture & Module Composition

All four products share a unified standardized hardware architecture, with four core functional modules integrated in a sealed anti-corrosion outdoor cabinet subrack:
  1. Rectifier module (AC-DC): Converts mains AC to standard -48V telecom DC; PF ≥0.99 and peak efficiency up to 96%. It supports module sleep for energy saving and non-stop hot-swap. It supplies loads and floats batteries under normal grid conditions and stabilizes output during grid fluctuations.
  2. Solar MPPT charge controller module (PV-DC): High-precision maximum power tracking prioritizes solar energy utilization. Excess solar power charges lithium batteries automatically. When irradiance drops, the system seamlessly switches to mains or battery backup. Multiple hardware protections cover reverse PV connection and overvoltage.
  3. Inverter module (DC-AC, optional): Converts 48V DC to 220/230V AC for AC loads such as switches, air conditioners and cameras. Inverter efficiency ≥90%. It can be mixed with rectifier and PV modules for capacity expansion.
  4. Intelligent monitoring module (system brain): The central controller coordinates rectifiers, PV controllers, inverters, batteries, thermal control and environmental sensors. It supports historical data logging, fault alarm records, GPRS remote monitoring and local LCD interaction, automatic genset triggering, battery balancing, capacity estimation and online diagnostics.
All modules share the same form factor and support mixed insertion and expansion. Lightweight modules and front-access maintenance fit unattended outdoor sites.

Four Series: Module Configuration & Application Positioning

1. OD-TRSS-48300 / OD-TRSS-48600 (48V 300A / 600A High-Power Base Station Model)

Standard module combination: rectifier modules + MPPT solar charge controller modules + monitoring module
  • Module configuration: 1~12 rectifiers and 1~12 MPPT controllers optional. Inverters are not standard; an inverter subrack can be added separately for AC loads.
  • Output: 300A (18kW) / 600A (36kW) DC for macro base stations and high-capacity edge rooms.
  • Typical applications: suburban 5G macro sites, large integrated telecom rooms, remote sites with chronic grid instability.
  • Cabinet & thermal control: optional cabinet air conditioning / heat exchange, built-in lithium battery compartment; IP55, operating temperature -40℃~+50℃.

2. OD-TRISS-48100 (48V 100A Full-Function Hybrid Model)

Standard module combination: rectifier modules + MPPT solar modules + inverter modules + monitoring module (fully integrated three-type modules)
  • Module configuration: standard 2 rectifiers, 2 inverters and 2 MPPT controllers, expandable from 1 to 4 each. It supplies both 48V DC and 220V AC.
  • Output: up to 400A (16kW) DC and 8kW AC with coordinated control across solar, mains, energy storage and inverter paths.
  • Typical applications: integrated outdoor base stations with both DC telecom equipment and AC loads, high-power off-grid mountain sites.
  • Thermal options: fans, 500~1500W cabinet air conditioner and low-temperature heater available; operating temperature -20℃~+45℃.

3.OD-TRIS-48100 (48V 100A AC/DC Integrated Base Station Model)

Standard module combination: rectifier modules + inverter modules + monitoring module (solar MPPT optional)
  • Module configuration: standard 2 rectifiers and 2 inverters; MPPT controllers can be added later. Built-in 48V 50Ah LiFePO4 battery.
  • Distribution: multiple AC/DC output branches with staged load shedding for priority/non-priority loads; compatible with smoke, water immersion and door contact sensors.
  • Typical applications: medium/small micro base stations, roadside communication nodes, outdoor rooms requiring stable AC supply.
  • Protection: IP56 anti-corrosion cabinet; integrated battery compartment without separate battery cabinet.

4.OD-TISS4850 (48V 50A Compact Hybrid Power Model)

Standard module combination: inverter module + MPPT solar charge controller module + monitoring module (rectifier optional)
  • Module configuration: standard 1 inverter (2kW) + 1 MPPT controller; rectifier can be added if mains is available.
  • Output: 52A DC, 2000VA AC; compact and lightweight, wall or floor mountable.
  • Typical applications: roadside surveillance, traffic signals, small LANs, low-power remote micro nodes, off-grid sites relying mainly on solar.
  • Environmental capability: operating temperature -40℃~+50℃, low noise ≤60dB(A).

 

Modular Architecture: Flexible Customization Advantages

  • Flexible capacity expansion: Rectifier, solar and inverter slots are independent. Modules can be added or removed to cover 50A~600A. Site expansion only requires extra modules instead of full system replacement.
  • Tailored energy topology: Off-grid solar sites may use MPPT + inverter without rectifiers; standard macro sites use rectifier + solar; mixed AC/DC rooms deploy rectifier + solar + inverter.
  • Customizable package: Cabinet size, thermal control (fan / aircon / heat exchange), low-temperature heater, lithium capacity, distribution circuits, surge protection, remote communication (GPRS/SNMP/RS485) can be customized per project. OEM cabinet marking and localized alarm languages are available.
  • Unified O&M: Common modules and monitoring protocols across four models reduce operator spare-parts inventory and field service burden. Hot-swap enables maintenance without shutdown.
